Jacob Lawrence

I made this animation to promote the exhibition on Jacob Lawrence's work at the Kunsthal KAdE Amersfoort at the end of 2025.

Lawrence was a Cubist painter who made beautiful, powerful works about the lives and struggles of African Americans during the twentieth century. It was great fun exploring how to transform his art into textural, colorful cutout animation.
